India skipper Rohit Sharma has a massive fan following across the country. The right-hander is the most successful skipper in the Indian T20 League, having led the side to five titles- the most by any team. He is yet to lose a series as an Indian captain after becoming the full-time captain last year.
Currently, he is spending his time in his hometown as he has been rested for the upcoming Zimbabwe series. The Mumbaikar will be leading the side in the Asia Cup later this month. Meanwhile, on August 15, he was trying to go out of his hotel room. Little did he know that the fan waiting would be in huge numbers. After witnessing a huge crowd gathered outside the hotel, he rushed back to the hotel room.

Sharma, recently, led the side in the T20I series against West Indies. In that series, the Men in Blue beat the home team by a 4-1 margin. Notably, Sharma sat out in the fifth T20I and the team was led by Hardik Pandya. Both players aren't part of the Zimbabwe series, starting on August 18th. The series will consist of three ODIs and will end on August 22.
The real test for the team will be in the Asia Cup, where they will meet the arch-rivals Pakistan. India will be missing the services of Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel, who have been ruled out due to injuries. India are the defend champions, having won the last edition in 2018, which was also played in the UAE. It will be interesting to see who lift the title this time around.
