WATCH: Sakshi Dhoni responds to fans' queries about MS Dhoni's fitness

MS Dhoni's production house released its debut feature film, 'Let's Get Married,' in theatres on July 28. To promote the film and connect with fans, the team attended one of the screenings, and Sakshi Dhoni, the co-producer and MS Dhoni's wife, also graced the event. However, some fans expressed their disappointment that Dhoni was missing from the screening.

They approached Sakshi and inquired about Dhoni's well-being. Sakshi then informed his fans that Dhoni is currently in the process of rehabilitating from a knee surgery he underwent shortly after the Indian Premier League 2023. She assured the fans that he is recovering well and aiming to make a strong comeback in IPL 2024. "How is Mahi bhai?" a fan asked Sakshi. Sakshi gave a thumbs up and said, "Mahi bhai is recovering; he is in rehab".

Earlier this year, despite facing a knee issue, the former India captain MS Dhoni displayed remarkable leadership as he led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to their fifth Indian Premier League (IPL) title, equaling a record. Following the IPL 2023 final, Dhoni travelled from Ahmedabad to Mumbai, where he underwent successful left knee surgery at a reputed sports orthopaedic surgeon's facility.

Dhoni and his wife Sakshi have launched a movie production company called 'Dhoni Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Their debut film, 'LGM, was released in Telugu and Tamil on Friday. The couple has actively been promoting the movie, and during a recent press conference, Sakshi was questioned, "Can we expect Dhoni Ji as a hero?"

"I look forward to that day. It would be the happiest day if it came," responded Sakshi. "If there's something good, he may just do it. He has done a lot of advertising. He is not camera-shy. He knows how to act. He has been acting in front of the camera since 2006. If there's something really good on the slate, he could do it. If I had to choose for him, I'd do an action movie because he is always in action," She further added.
