Shadab Khan

The star Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan is currently in action with San Francisco Unicorns in the ongoing inaugural edition of Major League Cricket 2023. Recently, Shadab showcased an amazing and artistic display of his spin brilliance in an MLC match against Texas Super Kings. He stunned everyone with his unplayable googly to dismiss TSK all-rounder Mitchell Santner.

Shadab bowled this excellent googly on the first ball of the 14th over in the second innings. The ball was pitched outside the leg stump and surprisingly went on to hit the top of the stump. Santner completely failed to read the tricky turn of the ball. The video of this mind-blowing delivery bowled by the 24-year-old is now making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared on Twitter.

Here’s the video:

Speaking of the action of the match between SFU and TSK, both teams locked horns in the 14th match of MLC 2023 at Church Street Park in Morrisville. Unicorns won the toss and decided to bat first. Wicketkeeper-batter Matthew Wade and middle-order batter Chaitanya Bishnoi played the knocks of 49 and 35 runs respectively for their side. Other than these two, it was all-rounder Shadab Khan who touched the individual mark of 20+ runs.

On the back of some other small efforts, San Francisco managed to post a total of 171 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Gerald Coetzee bowled brilliantly and scalped four wickets for Super Kings after conceding 30 runs in his quota of overs. Apart from him, Daniel Sams and Mitchell Santner also picked one wicket each.

Later, while chasing the target, TSK faced an early blow as skipper Faf du Plessis got trapped against Carmi le Rox on the second bowl of the first over. His dismissal was followed by Cody Chetty’s wicket who fell prey to Haris Rauf in the next over. Although the half-century scored by Milind Kumar alongside knocks of 42 and 30 runs from Daniel Sams and Devon Conway respectively, helped Super Kings to chase down the target.

Eventually, they crossed the line in 19.1 overs and scored 172 runs for the loss of 7 wickets to win the match by a close margin of 3 wickets.
