WATCH: Shreyanka Patil's classical incoming delivery traps Samara Amarnath in Women's CPL 2023

Shreyanka Patil bowled a terrific delivery to dismiss Samara Ramnath in the last match of the group stage of the Women’s CPL 2023. The video of Shreyanka’s delivery has gone viral on the internet. Throughout the tournament, Patil has been so good with the ball. The performance of the youngster in the last league match was just proof of it. Fans are praising the talent of the youngster. 

It was a game that had to be won by the Guyana Amazon Warriors women against the Trinbago Knight Riders women. Opting to bat first on a slow wicket in Trinidad, all Knight Riders could manage was 72 runs in their innings, which was way below par. The exceptional bowling effort from the bowlers of GAW women meant that TKR women were in the backfoot from the start. 

Patil bowled so well in the match like she usually does. In her 4 overs, the 21-year-old conceded just 10 runs and claimed 2 wickets. Shreyanka got the wickets of Zaida James and Samra Ramnath. The Bangalore-born cricketer has claimed 8 wickets in the tournament so far, the most for a bowler. The young off-spinner from India has been simply amazing in the CPL 2023.

In the match against TKR women, Patil cleaned up the tail well. Patil trapped James Leg Before Wicket before getting rid of Ramnath. The delivery to Ramnath was a peach. The ball was full and off. It was delusional, as the batter thought it to be a widish delivery. Shreyanka invited Ramnath to drive the ball. Instead, the ball spun back hugely and hit the top of the middle stump.  

It was a delightful moment for the youngster. Ramnath had no clue about the delivery. As the TKR women were dismissed for just 72 runs, the GAW women chased the target comfortably by in 7.3 overs by 9 wickets. GAW women have qualified for the final of the tournament and will take on Barbados Royals women on the big day in Trinidad.
