India's opening batter Shubman Gill is generally a safe fielder. He hardly drops a catch or misfields. However, in the first ODI against Australia, Gill dropped a rather difficult catch at slips. The incident happened on the 30th over of the Aussie innings. Marcus Stoinis had come out to bat after the wicket of Cameron Green to Mohammed Shami.
On the first ball of his innings, Stoinis tried to fend the ball going away from him. As a result, the ball took the outside edge of the bat and flew towards Gill in the slips. The India opening batter tried to take a diving catch but overreached the ball. As a result, the ball hit the palms and went onto the ground, After this, the 2018 U19 World Cup winner was seen cussing to himself.
