As for the game between Bayern Munich and Barcelona, it was a smash and grab by the German club as they scored two quickfire goals in the early stages of the second half and halted the Spanish club to a score of zero. Lewandowski who switched from Bayern Munich to Barcelona in this transfer window, failed to make an impression at his old ground as he missed a couple of chances throughout the game.
With this win, Bayern move to the top of the table in Group C with six points while Barcelona stay at second with three. Barcelona will get the chance to avenge the defeat when they meet at Camp Nou for the return leg of the game.
