With only a few days left ahead of the start of Asia Cup 2022, Virat Kohli has started practicing in the nets. In his first practice session before the tournament, he was seen hitting the spinners for glorious sixes. Spinners such as Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Yuzvendra Chahal were bowling to Kohli and the latter he hit some long sixes against them.
Arshdeep Singh also bowled to the former India skipper. The video of the net session has gone viral on social media. It has gotten close to 20,000 views and counting and more than 1700 likes so far. Interestingly enough, he played his last competitive game in July this year on the tour of England. Since then, the Men In Blue have toured the Caribbean Islands and Zimbabwe for the white-ball games. However, the 33-year-old was rested for both series.

Meanwhile, the Rohit Sharma-led India will start their campaign with the game against Pakistan on August 28. Both teams are coming on the back of registering a clean-sweep albeit against the weaker oppositions in the ODI format.
The Green Brigade whitewashed the Netherlands in the three-match series. On the other hand, India clean-swept Zimbabwe in three-match series. However, the only difference between the two was that India had rested their main players while their opposition didn't.
Talking about both teams, they are missing their lead bowlers for the tournament. Jasprit Bumrah is missing the tournament due to a back injury while Shaheen Afridi is missing the continental cup due to a knee injury.
Pakistan have replaced Afridi with Mohammad Hasnain. Talking about India, they have pacers such as Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the mix. It will be interesting to see how Khan performs in the tournament as he has had an inconsistent run after the Indian T20 League.
On the other hand, players such as Singh and Kumar have had a good time with the ball.
