Yesterday came a very memorable moment for Virat Kohli fans as their superstar and iconic cricketing star headed back to his childhood home ground in Delhi. Kohli was in action with his franchise in the 50th match of IPL 2023 against Delhi at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. It was a remarkable day for both Kohli and his fans.

In a heart-whelming moment, the-34-year-old met his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma just before the start of the match between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Subsequently, the IPL shared a video on their official Twitter handle; in this video, Kohli can be seen bursting in a peal of laughter and having a very funny chat with the Delhi Capitals players Ishant Sharma and Axar Patel after the end of the match.

Speaking of local boy Virat Kohli’s performance with the bat on his home ground, he scored 55 runs with the bat off 46 balls with five boundaries. He achieved two big milestones to his name in the history of the Indian Premier League. With his half-century, Kohli became only the second batter in the history of the tournament to score 50 half-centuries with the bat. Prior to him, it is the senior Australian Southpaw David Warner who accomplished this feat.

Apart from this, Kohli also became the first batter in the history of IPL to score 7000 runs with the bat.
