In a recent piece of news for Indian cricket fans, the official kit sponsor, Adidas of Team India has revealed the new jersey of the men in blue for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023. The marquee international tournament will be hosted by India after a wait of 12 years since they hosted it last time in 2011 and emerged as the champions.

Meanwhile, Adidas has released a video song revealing Team India’s new jersey; this song is now making rounds on social media within minutes of being shared by Adidas from their official social media channels.

Notably, the song revolves around India’s quest for the ODI World Cup title which they haven’t won after 2011. In the last two editions of the ODI World Cup in 2019 and 2015, the men in blue got knocked out from the tournaments after losing in the semi-finals against New Zealand and Australia, respectively.

India to start their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign against Australia

Speaking of India’s run in the upcoming edition of the World Cup, they will play their campaign opener against the five-time champions Australia on Sunday, October 8 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Apart from that, Rohit Sharma’s men will also take on the arch-rivals, Pakistan in the high-octane clash in the group stage. India vs Pakistan clash will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14.

Currently, India are gearing up for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia, starting on Friday, September 22 with the first ODI at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. This series will be very crucial for the hosts’ preparations for the upcoming home ODI World Cup.

2011 World Cup champions, India will also play two warm-up matches before the commencement of the main round of the tournament. Rohit Sharma-led side will take on England and the Netherlands in the warm-up matches.
