Who is faster, Virat Kohli or Faf du Plessis? Bangalore captain answers

Virat Kohli is arguably one of the fittest cricketers in the world. He has set up some really high standards when it comes to being quick on the field. Besides, he has been pretty vocal about how dedicated he is to his fitness.

However, Faf du Plessis isn't too far behind either. He has been synonymous with fitness as well. Despite being on the wrong side of the 30s, the Proteas batter is still quicker than most of the cricketers. Fans have gone on to compare Du Plessis and Kohli, and have continuously argued over who the fitter cricketer is between the two.

After the completion of the match against Rajasthan, the Bangalore skipper was asked the same question. When Harsha Bhogle asked Faf to name the quickest in the side, he took Kohli's name. However, he cheekily said that his answer was just to please the fans. The video of him answering this question became viral as well.

"Virat is up there (in terms of fitness), I'll tell that for his fans," said Faf du Plessis. In the meanwhile, Bangalore managed to beat Rajasthan by four wickets in an absolute thriller on Tuesday. This was the Sanju Samson-led side's first loss in the Indian T20 league 2022.

Thus, Faf has had a good start to his captaincy stint for Bangalore as they have won two out of their first three games. During the post-match presentation, he had heaps of praises for Dinesh Karthik, who scored an unbeaten 44. He appreciated the keeper-batter for keeping his calm.

“We started quite well though, but then Yuzi bowled really well to get them back in. But for me, the great thing about today once again was our ability to come back to win games out of nowhere. To pull it out of nowhere, you need some great characters and DK is as great a character as you can get. His composure under pressure is amazing. He is really calm and such a great asset to us" He added.
