The youngster has so far played for his state team in eight List A games. He has represented India’s Emerging and U-23 teams and has picked eight wickets at an economy of 4.92 with the best bowling figures of 2/21.

In the ongoing match against Chennai, Hrithik Shokeen replaced Murugan Ashwin in the playing XI. Interestingly, he has been sent ahead of Kieron Pollard and Daniel Sams in the batting order.

Mumbai Indians were asked to bat first. They made a horrendous start to their innings. Openers, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan both got out in the very first over of the innings. Left-arm seamer, Mukesh Chaudhary has provided a dream spell. He has bowled three overs so far, picking 3 wickets for 19 runs in 3 overs. At the time of writing, Mumbai are in trouble at 53 for 4 at 9.2 overs. Tilak Varma and Hrithik Shokeen are currently at the crease, scoring 14(20) and 3(6) respectively.

Ahead of the start of the game, Rohit Sharma revealed the reason behind three changes and was keen to win the game.

“We are trying to keep things as simple as possible and not complicate them, but the season has not gone as we wanted and hence those many changes. We have to win all games, but we can’t look that far ahead. We have to see how we perform in this game and take it from there," he said at the coin toss.
