Hyderabad and Rajasthan locked horns in the fourth match of the ongoing Indian T20 League 2023 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The hosts’ skipper Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the toss and decided to bowl first against Rajasthan. Batting first, Rajasthan posted a big total of 203 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Hyderabad completely failed against Rajasthan’s bowling lineup as they could score only 131 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the entire 20 overs and lost the match by 72 runs. Subsequently, the fans also took to Twitter to troll Bhuvi’s men after a big defeat against Rajasthan in their tournament opener.
Fans trolled the strong lineup of Hyderabad as they succumbed to failure against the bowling attack of Rajasthan including the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult.

Speaking of the entire action of the match, the top three of Rajasthan smashed amazing half-centuries. Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler played the knocks of 54 runs each on 37 and 22 balls respectively. Jaiswal smashed nine boundaries and seven boundaries alongside three sixes by Jos Buttler.
Other than these two, skipper Sanju Samson also played a crucial knock of 55 runs off 32 balls with three boundaries and four massive sixes on his credit. On the back of these knocks, the visitors posted a total of 203 runs for the loss of five wickets in the first 20 overs of the match.
Later on, while defending the target, the experienced spin-pace duo of veterans Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult took centerstage for Rajasthan. Chahal scalped four wickets by conceding only 17 runs in his quota of four overs. Whereas Boult claimed two wickets at the cost of only 21 runs in four overs including an impressive maiden over.
Eventually, Rajasthan won their campaign opener against Hyderabad by a margin of 72 runs. Star batter Jos Buttler won ‘the player of the match award for his half-century knock.
