The legendary England pacer James Anderson has added one more feather to his illustrious cap of achievements in the great game of cricket. The Lancashire-based bowling great scalped his 1100th First-Class wicket in the ongoing first of the five-match Tests of The Ashes 2023 against England. Anderson completed his 1100 wickets in First-Class cricket in his 289th First-Class match.

The 40-year-old bowling great achieved this feat in his career when he scalped the wicket of Australian wicketkeeper-batter Alex Carey in the first innings of Australia during the ongoing Birmingham Test.

Speaking of the ongoing action of the first Ashes Test between England and Australia, Australia are now just 22 runs behind England’s first-innings score of 393 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Australia have scored 372 runs for the loss of six wickets in 111.2 overs owing to the brilliant century smashed by Usman Khawaja in the first innings.
