Former Indian skipper and the batting superstar, Virat Kohli is all set to be back in action with Team India in the third and last ODI of the three-match series. India will take on Australia in the last match of the series tomorrow at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.

Meanwhile, Kohli, who was rested for the first two ODIs of the series, also started the practice just a day before the third fixture of the series against the visitors. Last time, Kohli was in action with Team India in the Asia Cup 2023, where he smashed a brilliant and remarkable century in the super-4 match against the arch-rivals, Pakistan in Colombo.

He also completed his 47th ODI century and 13,000 ODI runs in the match against Pakistan. The 34-year-old became the fastest to reach this historic mark in just 267 innings, surpassing the former legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar who had achieved this feat in 321 innings. Apart from that, he is just 3 centuries away from breaking Tendulkar’s record of the highest number of ODI centuries (49).

Kohli will be one of the most important elements for Team India in the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 in their backyard. He will be gearing up his World Cup preparations while appearing in the third ODI of the series against Australia tomorrow.

Here’s a look at the Indian squad for 3rd ODI against Australia:

Rohit Sharma (c), KL Rahul (wk), Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Washington Sundar.

Coming back to Kohli, he will be batting there as number 3 in India’s batting lineup so it’s going to be a headache for the management to decide the perfect roles for the middle-order batters, including the likes of Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan given the fact that the former smashed a century in the second ODI of the series.
