In their final league game of the IPL 2023, Gujarat Titans defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by six wickets on Sunday. With 14 points from 14 games, RCB were eliminated from the competition. Mumbai Indians (MI) earned 16 points throughout their 14 games to claim the last playoff position and participate in next week’s eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

The most runs scored by any batter in the IPL, Virat Kohli made an undefeated 101, his second successive century and seventh overall, as RCB concluded with 197/5 when GT skipper Hardik Pandya decided to bowl. With the help of Vijay Shankar (53) and Shubman Gill, who both struck consecutive tons and remained unbeaten at 104, Gujarat Titans were able to reach their target in 19.1 overs with the loss of just four wickets.

Naveen-ul-Haq, a bowler for the Lucknow Super Giants, seized the opportunity to mock Virat and RCB after RCB was dismissed. He and Kohli have been at odds ever since they got into numerous heated arguments during the LSG-RCB match in Lucknow on May 1.

Following their argument, the bowler and the batter shared some cryptic Instagram stories, and the Indian superstar's fans heckled the Afghan pacer in the games he played in with screams of "Kohli, Kohli." On Saturday, May 20, when LSG faced KKR in a game that needed to be won in order to advance to the playoffs, the pacer even responded to the situation and gestured with his finger in his lips to the Eden Gardens audience.

Without mentioning Kohli or Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Afghanistan speedster wrote another mysterious story about a comic laughing aloud as soon as the game involving Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore was over. However, the fans made the connection. It's interesting that LSG's Twitter account also quietly poked it in using a message following RCB's departure, and wrote, ““Give it? Take it? Let's leave it. Well fought, @RCBTweets. See you next season”
