Cricket’s Apex body has announced its picks for the Player of the Month of January. Three cricketers’ men and women each have made it to the list. Shamar Joseph, Ollie Pope, and Josh Hazlewood have made it from the men’s list.

Just hours after England lost to India, Apex Cricket Body named its pick for the Player of the Month. The list contains some amazing names who were dazzled with the bat and ball last month for their national sides.

Ollie Pope scored a match-winning 196 during the first Test in Hyderabad. The knock helped his team win the game by 28 runs and take a 1-0 lead in the series. Chasing 399 to win, England and its fans were looking at Ollie Pope to score big once again.

After hitting five fours, the young batter was facing Ravichandran Ashwin. While looking to slash the ball hard, Pope got a thick edge that flew to the first slip. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma took an amazing catch to dismiss Pope for 23.

Shamar Joseph made an instant impact with the ball after making the Test debut during the series against Australia. The right-arm pacer picked a fifer on his debut during the Adelaide Test. More honours were to follow as Joseph picked 7 wickets during the Gabba Test to help side his win a Test in Australia after 27 years.

Josh Hazlewood has been in tremendous form with the ball during the recent Tests against Pakistan and West Indies. The 33-year-old from Sydney played a key role in Australia’s 3-0 whitewash of Pakistan.
