The cricketing fraternity throughout the world had all the eyes on the IPL retention day, yesterday; all the participating teams announced their retained and released players for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024. One of the major highlights of the retention day was the massive and unexpected trade of star all-rounder Hardik Pandya from Gujarat Titans to his former franchise Mumbai Indians.

Meanwhile, the star Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali came up with a big statement about the Indian Premier League. He called it one of the biggest leagues in the cricketing world. Apart from that, Hasan Ali also expressed his desire to be a part of the cash-rich Indian franchise tournament.

“Every player wants to play IPL & it is my wish to play there. It is one of the biggest leagues in the world and I will definitely play there if there is an opportunity in the future,” said Hasan Ali to Samaa Lounge.

They have got a number of terrific players, particularly in this format of the game. Shaheen would be your No.1 pick, he would be box office.”

Former Indian cricketer and now the commentator, Sanjay Manjrekar also praised the Pakistan players and also spoke about the impact of the participation of the Pakistan cricketers in the Indian Premier League.

“I think about their bowlers more than their batters. But Fakhar Zaman would be an interesting choice in certain teams, alongside one of the best death bowlers, Haris Rauf,” said Manjrekar.
