Australian opener David Warner made a heartfelt public plea as he lost his backpack containing the Australia Test cap, commonly known as the Baggy Green. The veteran batter, on the verge of his farewell Test, took to social media, urging anyone who has found it to return the precious cap to him. Warner is set to play in the third and final Test of the Pakistan vs. Australia series at his home ground in Sydney, marking the conclusion of his illustrious career.

The legendary opener has expressed that his valuable belongings, including his Baggy Green cap, disappeared while in transit from Melbourne to Sydney ahead of his farewell Test. Describing the public appeal as his final attempt, Warner mentioned that he had reviewed the CCTV footage of his team hotel and the QANTAS airline but without success.

Warner appealed to the public for assistance in locating his Baggy Green and assured that the individual returning it would face no consequences. The Australian cricket star encouraged the person to contact either Cricket Australia or the airline, and he even offered another item from his backpack.

"Unfortunately, someone has taken my backpack out of my actual luggage, which had my backpack and my girls' presents in there. Inside this backpack was my Baggy Greens. That is sentimental to me, it's something I would love to have back in my hands, walking out there come this week. If it's the backpack you really wanted, I have a spare one here. You won't get into any trouble I'm happy to give this to you if you return my baggy greens," Warner told in his plea.
