The veteran Australian bowler and the modern-day spin great, Nathan Lyon recently achieved a sensational and big milestone as he completed 500 Test wickets. He is now set to play in the upcoming Pink Test against Pakistan at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney. It will also be the third and last Test of the three-match series between Australia and Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Nathan Lyon also picked the 3 toughest batters among those to whom he has bowled throughout his entire international career while playing for Australia. In this list, Lyon happened to pick the former legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar, former South Africa skipper AB de Villiers, alongside the former Indian skipper and the modern-day batting great, Virat Kohli.

“The best player I have played against, that's a very hard question. I have played against some of the greats of the game. I will give you three (names), they will be Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar and AB de Villiers,” said Lyon while speaking on the social media handle of the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The secret to getting them out, something that I struggle to do would be trying to challenge their defence for a long period,” he added later.

Notably, Nathan Lyon has got Virat Kohli’s wicket 7 times in the 23 Tests, India and Australia played against each other having these two. Apart from that, Lyon also successfully dismissed the former Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar for 4 times in 6 matches during the period from 2011 to 2013.

Speaking of Virat Kohli, he is currently with Team India to be in action in the upcoming second and last Test of the two-match Test series against South Africa. Kohli was in the headlines for his struggle against the Proteas pace attack in the second innings of the first Test, but his efforts went in vain as Team India lost the match by a massive margin of an innings and 32 runs.
