'Ise kehte hain comeback' - Fans react as India skipper smashes blistering century in 3rd T20I against Afghanistan

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma left everyone awestruck with his sensational knock against Afghanistan in the ongoing third and last T20I of the three-match series. Taking India struggling at 22 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 4.3 overs, Rohit smashed a swashbuckling knock of 121 runs off just 69 balls, with 11 fours and 8 massive sixes.

It was also his 5th T20I century in his illustrious T20I career of more than 16 years. The century was also important and quite precious for the India captain as he was dismissed on ducks in two consecutive matches in the first and second T20I of the ongoing series against Afghanistan.

Apart from that Rohit also stitched an outstanding and remarkable unbeaten partnership of 190 runs for the fifth wicket with the young Indian batting sensation Rinku Singh; the latter also scored blistering 69 runs off just 39 balls, with 2 fours and 6 massive sixes, including three consecutive sixes off last three balls in the 20th over of the first innings.

On the back of this iconic partnership between Rohit and Rinku, including the former’s swashbuckling century, India recovered strongly from a shaky start and posted a big total of 212 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Fareed Ahmad scalped 3 wickets, alongside one wicket picked by Azmatullah Omarzai for Afghanistan in the first innings.

Speaking of the current action of the match, Afghanistan had started their run-chase at the time of filling this copy; the visitors had scored 45 runs for no loss in 4.5 overs, with having opening pair of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and skipper Ibrahim Zadran there in the middle at the individual scores of 19 and 23 runs, respectively.
