Former legendary Indian skipper MS Dhoni received an invitation to the highly anticipated Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratistha Ceremony’ in Ayodhya on Monday, January 22 next week. Dhoni has now joined the list of stars from the field of cricket, who have been invited to the Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratistha Ceremony’.
RSS’ co-province secretary Dhananjay Singh, alongside BJP’s General Secretary of State Organization, Karmaveer Singh visited Dhoni’s house to hand him an official invitation for the much-awaited religious event in Ayodhya on January 22.
Before Dhoni, the former legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar, and former Indian skipper Virat Kohli were invited to Ram Mandir Consecration Ceremony. Sachin Tendulkar was given an official invitation just two days back on January 13 at his Mumbai residence.
“I request all Ram devotees that once the formal program is done on 22nd January, they should come to Ayodhya” – PM Narendra Modi
Earlier, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi also requested all the devotees to visit the historic and landmark ceremony in Ayodhya.
“I have a request to all. Everyone has a wish to come to Ayodhya to be a part of the event on 22 January. But you know everyone can't come. Therefore, I request all Ram devotees that once the formal program is done on 22nd January, they should come to Ayodhya at their convenience and do not make up their minds to come to Ayodhya on 22nd January,” said PM Modi.
Speaking of Dhoni, he is set to be in action for his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024. It is probably going to be his last appearance in the tournament since he started playing it 16 years back in the year 2008.
Dhoni also guided Chennai to win the fifth title in the history of the tournament by clinching the trophy in Indian Premier League 2023, after defeating Gujarat Titans in the summit clash of the tournament. Now, the Chennai Super Kings under the leadership of MS Dhoni are the joint-most successful team in the history of the tournament with 5 titles, alongside Mumbai Indians.
