With the number of talented players around the world, we should not be surprised if two talented individuals are coming from the same family. There have been many instances where both siblings have represented their nation in international cricket. The major examples are the Waugh brothers from Australia, The Pathan brothers from India, The Morkels of South Africa and the McCullum brothers of New Zealand. These have been some of the most successful siblings in cricket history, who have given great performances in both domestic and international cricket.

There has recently been another cricketing duo that has caught the attention of the people and the nation. The players are Sarfaraz Khan and Musheer Khan, Sarfaraz came into the limelight as he became the youngest player in the Indian Premier League(IPL) at the age of 17 and is currently having a great year in first-class cricket for Mumbai where he is averaging close to 70 in 45 matches and has recently got his maiden Test call up for the series against England. On the other hand, Musheer is currently having a great run in the ongoing U19 World Cup 2024 where he is currently the highest run scorer for his team.

Sarfaraz all praises for his younger brother

Sarfaraz being the elder and the most experienced of the two is without a doubt one of the young talents to look out for, but in an interview with ESPN Cricinfo has praised his brother saying that Musheer is a better batter than him in terms of talent and technique and watching him gives him a lot of confidence in his game as well. He ended his statement stating “ When I'm not batting well, I look at him and learn". This shows the amount of respect and appreciation the 26-year-old has for his 18-year-old brother and explains the consistency shown by both of them.

The story of another sibling duo could be in the making with the great performances shown by both of these extremely talented individuals. Sarfaraz and Musheer are already achieving great success in their career which will give them enough confidence going forward in the league. This also gives us a glimpse of how much talent the Indian cricket fraternity has in its ranks and we would also like to see these two in the future playing for India together. The future of these young prodigies will be something to look forward to in the future.
