In the 2nd T20 match between Australia and the West Indies, an interesting incident happened during the match as there was a confusing and heated moment in the match. The incident happened when the umpire overruled the decision of Alzarri Joseph's run-out was overruled.
In the 19th over Alzarri Joseph was short of his run in the other end. On the field, the umpire gave him out as no one from the Australian team appealed for a runout. This incident happened at the end of the second innings when West Indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph ran for a single after hitting the ball towards the covers.
But the throw from Tim David at the other end saw Johnson catch the ball and hit the bails of the stump even before Alzarri Joseph reached the crease. Meanwhile, none of the Australian players appealed for the run-out.
As the replay was played on the big screen it appeared that Alzarri Joseph was short of the crease at the non-striker's end Australian team started to celebrate before the umpire announced the decision.

Australia dominate the T20I series
After watching the replay Mitchell Marsh and the team started to celebrate the wicket but the umpire stopped him in the middle as there was no appeal made when the run-out happened. Also, this led to word exchanges with Australian players and the umpires. Tim David expressed his anger at the umpire's decision.
Before the saga happened, the West Indies score was 190 runs for 9 wickets. Even though the run-out saga didn’t have a big impact on the game Australia managed to win over West Indies in the second T20. In the first innings, all-rounder Glen Maxwell put on a big show with his bat as he scored 120 runs from 55 balls. He also becomes the joint holder to have the most centuries in T20I cricket. Tim David also scored 31 runs and remained unbeaten to put a score of 241 runs.
Australia has taken a 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series against West Indies. In the ongoing T20I series between Australia and West Indies Australia batter David Warner becomes the first player to score 50+ runs in his 100th across all formats of the game. The third T20I will be held in Optus Stadium on 13th February.
