The auction for the upcoming edition of the Women’s Premier League 2024 is underway as there have been some astonishing bids so far, including both capped and uncapped players across the world. In the same line of events, two-star Indian uncapped players Kashvee Gautam and Vrinda Dinesh have stolen the limelight for their bids in the auction.

Young Karnataka batter Vrinda Dinesh has been picked by UP Warriorz for INR 1.3 crores. On the other hand, Gujarat Giants bought Kashvee Gautam for a massive amount of INR 2 crores, the most for any uncapped player so far in the WPL 2024 auction.

With said that, here we’ll have a look at the background and story of both Vrinda and Kashvee and their journey to the cash-rich Indian franchise tournament for women’s cricket.

Vrinda Dinesh – The young batting prodigy from Karnataka

The 22-year-old young batter has enjoyed a brilliant run of form while playing for Karnataka in the last two seasons. She is known for her brilliant power-hitting abilities just at the age of 22. Apart from this, one of the major achievements for the young batter is that she has already made it to the India A.

She was one of the vital cogs in the wheel for Karnataka during the Senior Women’s one-day tournament, where she ended up as the third leading run-scorer in the tournament, just after Jasia Akter and Priya Punia. Vrinda also played a crucial role in Karnataka’s journey to the final of the tournament.

Kashvee Gautam – The bowling sensation from Chandigarh

The 20-year-old pacer has stunned everyone with his brilliant performances in domestic cricket while playing for Chandigarh. Kashvee attracted the headlines when she bagged all 10 wickets in a one-day match against Arunachal Pradesh during the Women’s Under-19 competition.

Her excellent potential with the ball gave her a maiden call-up to the Women’s T20 challenge, where she played for the Trailblazers. Now, the Chandigarh bowling sensation will be in action for Gujarat Giants in the upcoming Women’s Premier League 2024.
