Former star Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan recently performed ‘Umrah’ with his son; the former cricketer shared a photo of him and his son over X (formerly Twitter).
“Blessed to complete Umrah with my Son. #Blessings,” wrote Pathan in his X-post with a photo of him, alongside his son.
Speaking of ‘Umrah’, it is considered a very important and auspicious pilgrimage for Muslim-religion people to the holy city, where Masjid al-Haram is located in Mecca. The pilgrims mostly complete ‘Umrah’ during the holy month of Ramadan. Apart from that, they can also perform in the two Islamic lunar months Rajab and Sha’ban ahead of Ramadan.

Talking about cricket, Irfan Pathan was in the headlines just a few days back for his statement about the preparations of Team India for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. Pathan spoke about the importance of a strong and wicket-taking bowling attack to strengthen the chances of winning a marquee international event like the T20 World Cup.
“T20 cricket gives you the license to be a bit more aggressive with the bat and play with a fearless mindset. However, what I feel is more important concerning India's performances in Dubai against Pakistan & in Australia in the semifinal against England, the bowling needs to be strengthened. Until we do that, we won't win big tournaments,” said Irfan Pathan on Star Sports.
“You need to have five proper wicket-taking bowlers and at least three of them should be able to bowl at any phase in the game, especially when a breakthrough is needed during a dangerous partnership. If we can find such bowlers, the World Cup isn't far away,” he added later.
Coming back to Irfan Pathan completing ‘Umrah’ with his son, the former all-rounder’s tweet also attracted a lot of wholesome reactions from the cricket fans; they came up with a lot of heartfelt replies for Pathan and his son as well.
Here’s how fans reacted to Irfan Pathan completing ‘Umrah’:
