In a thrilling encounter at the Mumbai Football Arena on Wednesday, Mumbai City FC and FC Goa battled to a 1-1 draw. The game left both teams with a share of the points in the Indian Super League season 10. This also led Mumbai to extend their unbeaten streak against FC Goa to ten matches.
The highly anticipated West Coast Derby failed to disappoint. FC Goa faced the daunting challenge of breaking a four-year winless streak against Mumbai City FC in the ISL. The intensity was evident early on when Iker Guarrotxena of FC Goa tested Mumbai's goalkeeper, Dheeraj Singh Moirangthem, with a curling free-kick, only to be denied by a skilful save.
The deadlock was finally broken in the second half, as Vikram Pratap Singh, in excellent form, put Mumbai City FC in the lead with a precise finish in the 46th minute. Bipin Singh, who had recently impressed with a brace against Chennaiyin FC, played a crucial role by delivering a pinpoint cross that eluded the entire FC Goa defence, finding Vikram on the far post.
Yasir made a comeback for Goa FC!
However, FC Goa showcased their resilience, and just after the hour mark, Mohammad Yasir stepped up for the Gaurs. Carlos Martinez set up Yasir on the inside channel of the left flank, and the attacking midfielder, acquired in January from Hyderabad FC, skillfully navigated past Rahul Bheke before slotting the ball into the back of the net with his left foot.
The draw maintained Mumbai City FC's position in the standings, while FC Goa's spirited performance propelled them to fourth place, edging past Kerala Blasters on goal difference, as both teams are level on points.
Despite the shared points, the match provided fans with an exciting display of skill, determination, and the unique flavour that the West Coast Derbyย consistently brings to the Indian Super League.

If that banger from Yasir hadn't come, we would have been at the top with 2 points lead from 2nd position of ISL.

Why does Noah Saddaoui always look like he's playing a different plan to the rest of the team? Constantly doing his own thing, looks so dysfunctional. Most teams have at least one good foreign forward. @FCGoaOfficial have none. Victor is a HUGE miss. #MCFCFCG #ISL10
