The Australia cricket team won the third T20I against India on November 28 at Guwahati. Notably, Australia are 1-2 in the five matches of the T20I series. Speaking about the game here, the hosts posted a massive total of 222/3 in the given 20 overs owing to batting brilliance from Team India. However, Australia chased down the total owing to a fabulous century from Glenn Maxwell and a fiery start from Travis Head.

Following the loss, India's stand-in skipper, Suryakumar Yadav, has pointed out the dew factor that made them lose the game. The middle-order batter reveals that there was heavy dew in the third T20I, which helped Australia win the game despite the early wickets. However, the 33-year-old cricker equally hailed Glenn Maxwell and opened up about their plans to dismiss him.

"We just wanted to get Maxi out quickly (laughs), that was the plan. But, when you're defending 222 with so much dew you have to give something to the bowlers. I felt like how we played at Trivandrum, there was heavy dew, they lost wickets early but wickets in hand for them meant they were always in the game. I told the boys in the drinks break to get Maxwell out quickly but that was insane," Suryakumar Yadav said at the post-match presentation.

A fantastic knock from Gaikwad, he took the innings deep after I got out: Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav also opened up about the tactics and pragmatic skills he used to give Axar Patel a 19th over in the game. Moreover, the Mumbai Indians star heaped praise on Ruturaj Gaikwad for his century.

"I gave Axar the 19th over because he has bowled the 19th and 20th overs before so he's experienced as well.  A fantastic knock from Gaikwad, he took the innings deep after I got out. I've always said in franchise cricket as well that he's a special player and the way he batted, he showed it. I'm very proud of my boys," he added further.
