Star Indian leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is set to be in action for his franchise Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024). He ended up as the fifth leading wicket-taker in the last edition of the tournament in 2023, scalping 21 wickets in 14 innings of the 14 matches, with the best performance of 4/17.

Apart from that, he was also the leading wicket-taker in IPL 2022, scalping 27 wickets in 17 innings of the 17 matches he played, with a best performance of 5/40 to win the purple in the 15th edition of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Chahal came up with a prediction about the winners of the orange and purple cap for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024.

“Yashasvi Jaiswal or Jos Buttler will score the most runs and win the orange cap this season,” said Chahal to Esports streamer Gulrez Khan in a video on the latter’s YouTube channel.

Furthermore, Gulrez Khan also asked about the prediction for the purple cap holder in the upcoming edition of the IPL 2024. Yuzvendra Chahal was stuck on his name about picking the highest number of wickets in the tournament.

“Ham hi lenge sabse zyada toh,” replied the star spinner to the YouTuber on being asked about the prediction for leading wicket-taker in IPL 2024. Subsequently, Gulrez Khan insisted Chahal name at least the second leading wicket-taker in the upcoming 17th edition of the Indian Premier League.
