The two stars have been serving the Indian cricket team in international cricket for more than the last 15 years. Meanwhile, West Indies star all-rounder Kyle Mayers came up with a big statement while comparing Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

When asked about the significance of taking the wicket of Virat Kohli versus Rohit Sharma, Mayers stated that among the current generation of bowlers, Kohli's wicket would be the most valuable. The Caribbean star further explained the dominance of Virat Kohli across all the formats in international cricket.

“I think Kohli (wicket would be more precious than Rohit's). Any bowler would want to dismiss Kohli, the best player across all three formats,” said Kyle Mayers in a video posted by FanCode.

Apart from this, Mayers also spoke about Kohli’s aggression on the field. Notably, Mayers was also in the middle of the infamous controversy between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir during the Indian Premier League 2023.

"It’s great. I think you need to take a chance to get at the opposition, anything you can possibly get out of the game. Being aggressive and having courage shows the willingness to get your team across the line," said Mayers.

Kohli was in action on the West Indies tour during the two-match Test series, in which he completed his 29th Test century. Following that, Kohli was in the playing XI of India during the first ODI but couldn’t get to bat. Later, he was rested in the second and third ODI of the series.

Speaking of Mayers, he is currently in the T20I squad of West Indies of the ongoing five-match T20I series against India. Although he failed to live up to the expectations in the T20I series opener but the hosts ended up winning the match against the visitors by 4 runs. They have started their run in the T20I series with a win, taking a lead of 1-0.
