Manchester City and Barcelona will lock horns with each other at the Camp Nou Stadium for a friendly game on 24th August 2022. Notably, this game will be played to raise funds for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Talking about both teams, City drew with Newcastle United by 3-3 in their last game. The likes of Ilkay Gundogan, Erling Haaland, and Bernado Silva scored one goal each. On the other hand, Miguel Almiron, Callum Wilson, and Kieron Trippier scored one each for Newcastle.
Barcelona, who is participating in the La Liga, has played two, won one and drew one. In their last game against Real Sociedad, they thrashed the opposition by 4-1, Robert Lewandowski scored his first goal for the Spanish club.

Notably, the former goalkeeper of Barcelona, Juan Carlos Unzue was diagnosed with the disease in February 2020. On his insistence, the game will be played. The money raised from the game will go to Fundación Luzón, a not-for-profit organization begun by Francisco Luzón, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2014.
