In a recent piece of news for the fans of the Lahore Qalandars franchise in the ongoing PSL 2024, star pacer Haris Rauf has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament. It the decision from the Lahore management came after the pacer sustained a shoulder injury when he landed on his shoulder in a very awkward fashion during the recent match against Karachi Kings.
Rauf sustained this injury in the last over of the second innings when the Karachi Kings were chasing the target of 176 runs. He ran for a catch of Hassan Ali and ended up hurting himself; however, the catch was declared valid later by the third umpire.
Furthermore, he was seen making his way out of the ground after his shoulder was dislocated during this successful catch-attempt to dismiss Hassan Ali.
“Haris Rauf, Pakistan and Lahore Qalandars' premier fast bowler will be unavailable for the remainder of the Pakistan Super League after suffering a dislocated shoulder during a narrow defeat against Karachi Kings last night,” read a statement from Lahore Qalandars through a media release.
Apart from the press release, the Qalandars also shared a post from their official X-handle (formerly Twitter).
“Haris Rauf is out of PSL with a shoulder dislocation. Wishing our star bowler a swift recovery during his 4-6 weeks of rest,” read the X-post shared by Lahore Qalandars.
