'Raina pehle boldeta'- Fans reacts as Suresh Raina discloses why he was dropped from Chennai's playing XI in IPL 2021

Suresh Raina, the former Indian batsman, played his final Indian Premier League (IPL) match in 2021. He did not get to play the complete season of 2021. Chennai Super Kings(CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni dropped him and replaced him in the playing XI with Robin Uthappa.

His fans then caused quite controversies. However, after two years, Suresh Raina has made a significant admission regarding this. He has stated why he was made to sit on the bench during the last few matches.

In fact, recently, Suresh Raina told during an interview with Jio Cinema, "MS Dhoni took permission from me to play Uthappa instead of me, I told him to play Uthappa as he worked so hard through the season even when he wasn't getting an opportunity in 2021."

Significantly, in IPL 2021, Chennai Super Kings played a total of 16 matches, but Raina could play only 12 matches. He was dropped by Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the last four matches of Chennai. After this, the fans raised many questions about him. Now, he has disclosed this and answered all the questions of the fans.

Raina had to remain unsold in IPL 2022 and he retired from IPL this year. He has scored 5528 runs in 200 IPL matches with an average of 32.51, with 39 half-centuries and one century, with his highest IPL score being 100* runs. Suresh Raina has hit 506 fours and 203 sixes in his IPL career.

Suresh Raina left international cricket in August 2020. However, the famous batsman's name was confirmed to be part of the Lanka Premier League auction on Wednesday. The auctioneer, Charu Sharma, however, entirely missed his name and continued with the bidding, which enraged many followers on social media.

He was among other renowned names on the big screen, including Evin Lewis and Rassie Van Der Dussen, but the auctioneer didn't mention him and merely proceeded. This confused all of the watchers and admirers since many of them were anticipating seeing him in action after such a long period.
