'Shami sirf naam nahi, toofan hai toofan' - Fans react as India pacers provide good start for India against Bangladesh in Asia Cup 2023

The new ball duo of Mohammed Shami and Shardul Thakur provided a very good start for the Indian team against Bangladesh.

India has had a very good start against Bangladesh in the 2023 Asia Cup match in the Super 4 stage. The new ball duo of Mohammed Shami and Shardul Thakur has dismissed the top order of Bangladesh to give an early lead to the Indian team in the match. Bangladesh is in trouble against India after the loss of some of the key wickets. India is all over Bangladesh at the moment.  

Shami and Thakur both are at their usual best. Shami has got some amazing seam movement off the surface and made the best use of it. The 33-year-old bowled a cracker and dismissed Litton Das. The ball from Shami seemed to move away from the right-hander initially but seamed in and pierced the bat-pad gap to clip the top of the off and middle stump.  

Shardul got the ball to swing away from the right-handers and troubled the batters. Thakur bowled a good back-of-a-length delivery and dismissed Tanzid Hasan. The Southpaw played on and returned to the pavilion. If that was not enough, Bangladesh lost Anamul Haque, who played a rash shot and threw away his wicket. It gave a clear lead to the Indian team in the Powerplay overs.

Bangladesh has itself to blame. The batters are playing a lot of dot balls and are unable to rotate the strike. There are many false shots played by the batters from Bangladesh. There is a huge responsibility on the shoulders of the experienced duo of Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim. Mehidy Hasan came in at 5, which is not his regular batting position.  

India is bowling very well and giving no opportunity for Bangladesh to run away in the game. The two different bowling styles are complimenting each other and troubling the batters from Bangladesh. India has an upper hand after 8 overs, as they have claimed 3 wickets and conceded only 34 runs. Shami has been miserly from his end and Thakur has claimed wickets from the other end.
