There is no denying the fact that Babar Azam is one of the best batsmen in modern-day cricket. His records speak for themselves. An all-format star for Pakistan, Babar Azam is a crowd puller. His consistency with the bat makes him one of the brightest stars in world cricket in the current era of the game. In just 86 ODIs, he has already managed to score 4261 runs at an average of 59.2. In Tests, he averages 46.00.
The Pakistan skipper has 2851 runs in 40 Tests and 2686 runs in 74 T20 internationals. Overall, Babar Azam has 23 centuries to his name in international cricket. Sadly, he had a forgettable campaign for Karachi Kings in the recent edition of the Pakistan Super League. Under his leadership, Karachi Kings could only manage to win 1 single game in 10 matches and finished the season at the bottom of the points table.
Babar Azam, recently, led Pakistan in an all-format series against Australia, including 3 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 1 T20 international. Pakistan lost the Test series by a 1-0 margin but beat Australia in the ODIs by a margin of 2-1. Babar Azam was brilliant with the bat throughout the series.
He was the second-highest run-getter for the side in the Test series and also in the ODIs as well. In the only T20 international played between the two teams, Babar Azam played a stellar knock of 66 runs in 46 balls but he didn’t receive a lot of support from the other end. Pakistan, eventually, lost that game by 3 wickets.
Recently, the Pakistan skipper was seen doing a kind act of distributing Iftaar in the ongoing holy month of Ramadan. In the spirit of Ramadan, he and Shadab Khan both were distributing Iftaar on the streets of the Pakistan skipper’s hometown in Lahore on Thursday.
The fans got a glimpse of the duo distributing Iftaar in a video, which has been widely surfaced on social media. The duo’s kind gesture has left the fans in awe. You can see the video here.
