MS Dhoni is at present taking a break from the spotlight to spend time with his family at his property. He successfully guided the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2023, winning the fifth trophy with the team.

He battled a knee problem throughout the IPL in 2023 and batted just a few balls in the majority of games. Dhoni had surgery on his knee in Mumbai following a successful season, and it will take him a few months to recover. To offer others an inside look at MS Dhoni, apart from the pitch, a fan posted a video to Twitter. It shows Dhoni dropping off a security guy at the entrance of his farmhouse on his own bike before riding away.

Murlidharan’s comments on Dhoni coming at Number 5 in World Cup final

Muttiah Muralitharan, a legendary spinner from Sri Lanka, recently shared his thoughts on MS Dhoni's choice to play himself rather than Yuvraj Singh during the 2011 ODI World Cup final.

Muralitharan revealed that MS Dhoni's decision to make a game-changing move was greatly influenced by his familiarity with meeting him frequently in the CSK nets. He mentioned this while addressing the crowd in Mumbai at the Cricket World Cup 2023 schedule release ceremony.

The retired Sri Lankan spinner said, “I knew because Yuvraj (Singh) was not very comfortable playing me, although he was the best player in World Cup at that time, middle-order number four position. I knew because I was bowling a lot against him (Dhoni) in the nets in Chennai while playing in the IPL. So Dhoni knew how to play me very well. So I thought he didn't want to give any wickets to me because I was wicketless despite bowling well.”

The former spinner said, "There was a lot of dew at that time and we couldn't spin the ball much. Gambhir was there at the other end, so when we got the wicket, definitely I knew he will come because he knows how to play me very well as I've played for Chennai (Super Kings)."
