Australian skipper Alyssa Healy won millions of hearts with her beautiful gesture after India Women’s win against Australia Women in the one-off Test, played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Following India’s 8-wicket win over Australia, Alyssa Healy was seen capturing the moments of celebrations by Team India with a camera in her hand.

The picture of this beautiful moment is also making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by a user over X (formerly Twitter). It also attracted a lot of wholesome reactions from cricket fans; they also lauded the Aussie skipper for her amazing gesture and spirit of sports.

India outplayed Australia in one-off Test match

Speaking of the match, Australia skipper Alyssa Healy won the toss and decided to bat first; batting first, Australia got bundled out just at the score of 219 runs. In reply, India posted a big total of 406 runs, registering a lead of 187 runs at the end of the first innings.

In the first innings, Smriti Mandhana, Jemmimah Rodrigues, and Deepti Sharma played the brilliant knocks of 74, 73, and 78 runs, respectively. Apart from these three, the star number four batter Richa Ghosh also scored 52 runs, with 7 boundaries.

Later, Indian bowlers bowled amazingly in the second innings, bundling out the visitors at the score of 261 runs, only with a minor lead of 74 runs. Sneh Rana scalped 4 wickets for India in the second innings, alongside two wickets picked by Rajeshwari Gaikwad and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur. Besides these, first-innings star Pooja Vastrakr also claimed one wicket in the second innings.

While chasing the target, India comfortably made it over the line, scoring 75 runs for the loss of 2 wickets, having star opener Smriti Mandhana unbeaten at the individual score of 38 runs, alongside number four batter Jemmimah Rodrigues, who scored 12 runs. 

Eventually, India registered a big win by 8 wickets to claim the first-ever win over Australia in the history of Women’s Test cricket.
