A total of 333 players are registered for the upcoming IPL 2023 mini-auction, out of these 214 players are from India, alongside 119 overseas players. Among the 119 overseas players, the highest number of players (25) are from England. Following England, there are 21 Australian cricketers have registered for the IPL 2024 mini-auction.

Coming back to England, there are both capped and uncapped players set to go under the hammer during the min-auction for the Indian Premier League 2024. With said that, here we’ll have a look at the 5 England cricketers who could be targeted by the franchises during the auction for next season.

Harry Brook – 2 crores

The young Yorkshire batter Harry Brook has amazed everyone with his impressive power-hitting since the start of his international career in January 2022. He also made his IPL debut in the 2023 season of the tournament, in which he was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad for an amount of INR 13.25 crores.

However, he couldn’t live up to the expectations in IPL 2023 for SRH and scored only 190 runs in 11 innings of the 11 matches, he played. He scored only one century, an unbeaten knock of 100 runs. Owing to the big potential and skillset of Harry Brook, he could earn a big bid during the Indian Premier League 2024 mini-auction.

Chris Woakes – 2 crores

The veteran England pacer Chris Woakes was one of the few good performers amidst a miserable run for England in the ODI World Cup 2023. He scalped 10 wickets in 8 innings of the 8 matches, he played in the tournament. Woakes has a base price of INR 2 crores for the upcoming IPL 2024 mini-auction.

Owing to his brilliant pace and amazing bowling abilities in the middle and death overs, the teams might count on the Warwickshire bowler for the next season of the tournament.

Philip Salt – 1.5 crores

The 27-year-old English batter Philip Salt was a part of the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League, in which he scored 218 runs in 9 innings of the 9 matches, he played for Delhi. Salt also scored 2 half-centuries, with a highest score of 87 runs. However, Capitals happened to release salt ahead of the mini-auction for the next edition.

Considering his hard-hitting abilities, teams might consider him in their squad for a good amount during the auction for IPL 2024.

Chris Jordan – 1.5 crores

Star England pacer Chris Jordan was released by the five-time champions following his lean run of form in the Indian Premier League. Jordan bowled in 6 innings of the 6 matches, scalping only 3 wickets. Now, he has been registered for the IPL 2024 auction with a base price of INR 1.5 crores.

However, his experience could earn him a good bid during the mini-auction for the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League.

Gus Atkinson – 1 crore

The Middlesex pacer was quite impressive for the Three Lions in the recently concluded three-match ODI series against West Indies. He scalped 6 wickets, however, his performances couldn’t help England to win the series against the hosts West Indies.

The performing potential of Atkinson is something which teams would like to bet on during the auction for the next season of the Indian Premier League.
