The ongoing IPL 2024 is setting the new records with every passing hour; it started first with the Australian skipper Pat Cummins, who Sunrisers Hyderabad bought in a massive amount of INR 20.5 crores. However, his record couldn’t last very long and it got broken by none other than his own teammate and veteran Australian pacer Mitchell Starc.

The star Aussie pace broke all the records in the history of the Indian Premier League when he was sold to the Kolkata Knight Riders in a huge amount of INR 24.75 crores. Notably, it will be the second time Starc will be playing for KKR after his first stint with the side 8 years back in the year 2015.

Starc looked quite dull for Australia in the earlier phase of the ODI World Cup 2023 but he stunned everyone with his sensational performances in the knockout stage, especially in the semi-final against South Africa. Starc ended up ODI World Cup 2023 scalping 16 wickets in 10 innings of the 10 matches, he played for the World Champions Australia.
