In this article let us take a closer look at the five teams that are likely to win the UEFA Champions League 2024.
Manchester City –
Defending champions Manchester City haven’t lost a game so far during the UEFA Champions League. Pep Guardiola has an impeccable record in this competition but has never won twice in a row. If the Citizens go on to achieve this feat it will be for the second time in this era after Real Madrid any team has won the Champions League in successive seasons.
FB Barcelona –
Former Blaugrana legend Xavi has been phenomenal ever since he has taken over the reins of his former club. After their 2-1 win over FC Porto on Tuesday, FC Barcelona qualified for the round of 16 for the first time in three years. With a mix of youth and experience, one cannot rule out Barcelona from winning the tournament.
Real Madrid –
FC Barcelona’s biggest rivals Real Madrid are the undoubted kings of European Football. During the heydays of Ronaldo, Bale, and Benzema, Madrid won the title thrice in succession under Zinedine Zidane. Former AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti is known to be an excellent manager and the Madridistas may yet again be in running for the cup.
Paris Saint Germain –
After a tricky start to the tournament, PSG have found their footing and qualified for the next round of the tournament. The absence of their usual big names has worked out well for PSG. Kylian Mbappe will be looking to add the one title that has eluded him so far in his career.
FC Bayern Munich –
The eternal German powerhouses FC Bayern Munich under Thomas Tuchel have been playing attractive football. Tuchel was the manager when Chelsea won the Champions League a few seasons ago. With the players they possess and the style of football they play one cannot rule out the Bavarians from standing atop the podium.
