Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly came up with a blunt take while analysing the nature of the Indian pitches. The sensational 6-wicket haul scalped by Jasprit Bumrah in the ongoing Vizag Test pushed Ganguly to staunchly stand for the competitive pitches in India, where both the spinners and pacers can get going.

Bumrah stunned everyone with his unbelievable yorker to Ollie Pope which eventually uprooted the middle and leg stump of the latter.  Ganguly included Bumrah’s amazing spell against England while making his point.

“When I see Bumrah, Shami, Siraj, Mukesh bowl, I wonder why do we need to prepare turning tracks in India…my conviction of playing on good wickets keeps getting stronger every game. They will get 20 wickets on any surface with Ashwin, Jadeja, Kuldeep and Axar (for support),” wrote Sourav in a post from his official X account (formerly Twitter).

Here’s a look at Sourav Ganguly’s X-post:

Speaking of the action of the match, the third day’s game is underway as India lost 2 wickets at the score of 38 runs in the second innings. India are currently leading by 178 runs in the second innings as they took a lead of 143 runs at the end of the first innings.

Earlier in the first innings, India bundled out the visitors just at the score of 253 runs; star Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah scalped 6 wickets just at the cost of 44 runs in 15.5 overs, including 5 maiden overs.

Besides Bumrah, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav also picked 1 and 3 wickets, respectively for India.

Talking about the series, the hosts are currently trailing by 0-1 as they faced a 28-run defeat in the first Test against England at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in  Hyderabad. Now, they will be eyeing winning the ongoing Hyderabad Test and equal the series by 1-1.
