Former England cricketer Nasser Hussain heaps praise on India's wicketkeeper batters, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul. Notably, the 26-year-old cricketer suffered injuries in the car accident, which ruled him out of international cricket. Moreover, India had missed Pant in the WTC Final as well as the ongoing Test series against South Africa as they suffered the defeat on the tricky pitches.

However, the former England captain feels that the whole world is excited to witness Pant in international cricket after his accident. In addition, the 55-year-old cricketer revealed that he has always had talks with Delhi Capitals coach Ricky Ponting about Rishabh Pant's injury and his progress to make his comeback in India's national squad.

"That was such a serious accident. The whole world held its breath and it has been a slow recovery. You follow on social media, on my phone and the initial first walking steps to then scenes in the gym and then scenes of him playing a bit of cricket, scenes of him with Ricky (Ponting). I travelled with Ricky in the summer in the Ashes, and Ricky was texting him ‘how's the progress coming along’, and he is a box office cricketer," Nasser Hussain said being quoted by Apex Cricket Council.

India have done well without Rishabh Pant as KL has come in: Nasser Hussain

Meanwhile, the former batting legend feels that Team India has done well despite not having Pant in the squad. Moreover, the legendary cricketer also heaps praise on KL Rahul and says that he took on himself and played the wonderful role of wicketkeeper batter in the absence of Rishabh Pant in all three formats.

"India have done well without him (Pant) as KL has come in and been brilliant in all formats. They'll continue to be brilliant. They're lucky to have both of them, but Rishabh Pant, before his injury, was box office, and hopefully after his injury, will be box office as well," he added further.
