India completely outmuscled England to register the massive win by a mammoth margin of 434 runs in the third Test to gain a lead of 2-1 in the five-match Test series. Except for the first session on the first day and a few sessions on the second day of the game, the entire Rajkot Test was completely under the control of India. Notably, it is also the biggest Test win for India in history, surpassing their last 372-run win against New Zealand.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first; however, India didn’t have an expected start as they lost 3 wickets just at the score of 33 runs in the first session of the opening day of the match. But then came the sensational 204-run partnership between skipper Rohit Sharma and star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
Both Rohit and Jadeja smashed centuries to help India post a total of 445 runs in the first innings. Later, the Indian bowlers bundled out England at the score of 319 runs; none of the batters looked comfortable against the Indian bowling attack except for Ben Duckett who scored a crucial century, scoring 153 runs off just 151 balls, with 23 fours and 2 sixes.
England crumbled in run-chase against India
Having a lead of 126 runs at the end of the first innings, Indian batters came up with an aggressive approach in the second innings, especially the young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored a sensational double century, hitting 214 runs, with 14 fours and 12 massive sixes with the bat. Besides him, Shubman Gill and Sarfaraz Khan also played the crucial knocks of 91 and 68 runs, respectively.
This fiery approach of batters helped India to post a big total of 430 runs for the loss of 4 wickets before declaring in the second innings and to set to an unbelievable target of 557 runs for England to chase.
The visitors completely surrendered during the run-chase against the Indian bowling attack led by star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in the second innings. On the back of Jadeja’s five-wicket haul, India bundled out England just at the score of 122 runs to register an outstanding win by 434 runs. Besides Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav also claimed two wickets, alongside one wicket each picked by Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin.

All the whining, snobbery, questioning drs, questioning pitches, claiming high ground for everything and then Collapsing like club level batting. Deserving belt treatment. #INDvsENG #INDvENG
