Indian spin bowler Varun Chakravarthy is all set to make his national debut for India in the Sri Lanka series. The 29 year old endured a decent outing with Kolkata Knight Riders in the 1st leg of the IPL this season. In 7 matches in the 1st leg of the IPL this season, Chakravarthy scalped a total of 7 wickets for KKR. Chakravarthy was also quite effective with the ball for KKR in the IPL last season. After impressing national selectors with some superb performances in the IPL, Chakravarthy finally received a national callup. The Indian spin bowler will want to perform well in the Sri Lanka series. This will boost his chances to make it into India’s T20 World Cup squad.
